Damaging Self-Honesty

I was about to write an exercise on self-honesty and self-examination, and how we can clarify our thinking and tackle the thoughts we’ve been desperately avoiding. However, I came to the unexpected realization that self-honesty might not be the best solution for everybody. This was a surprise for me, because I thought that self-honesty can help us resolve the major problems we face in life. But the problem isn’t really with us, but with the ideas that we have come to accept. (more…)

Does it make sense to anyone?

I honestly believe that many Muslims don’t know what they mean when they express their beliefs, and they use words they don’t even understand in order to convey their beliefs. They make exaggerated claims that they don’t experience themselves, but simply use to develop interest in Islam and gain a following. The worst form of nonsense I’ve ever come across is given below. I changed the name of the group from which I got this passage.
